Finding and connecting your CVS disposable camera.
Finding the camera is pretty easy. They're sold at all CVS stores, and also at Rite Aid stores. There is some rumor that they are sold by Disney as well, but we're not sure where. As always, for more info check out the forums at camerahacking.com
WARNING, the new Model 510 still cameras will not work with these cables. 510s suck anyway, go with the older ones. Here's how you can tell before you buy one:

1. The M510 has a ribbed pattern around the lens
2. The M510 has a raised dimple below the lens
But the easiest way to know what model you are getting is to look at the bottom label:

The model number is printed right on there. Model 200 is easiest to make into an IR camera, and it's easier to hack (but that's easy no matter what now that we've cracked the encryption). Model 220 has higher quality and better battery life. Model 230 is similar to the 220, but has a more powerful chip. It can be bitrate hacked to make very nice videos, but does suffer some compression loss at default settings. Go with an M220 or M230 if you get the chance.
As far as still cameras go, the important thing is to avoid the Model 510s.
Anyway, on to building your cable. There are a few ways to get connected.
The simplest (and least likely to kill your camera) is to modify a Palm PDA cable.
Here are some sites that will show you how to do it:

Another method is to solder a permanent usb cable or connector to the camera. It's cheap, but a bit tough for beginners. For more info, check out the camerahacking forums.
